Word Master Mind is a multiplayer game that will bring the most fun when you play with your friends in the same room. The goal of the game is to guess the secret 4-letter word within 10 turns. When its your turn, you can guess a word. Two numbers will provide feedback on your guess. The first number (orange) indicates how many correct letters you put in the wrong place. The second number (green) indicates the correct number of letters AND the correct position. Note that when the letter is in the correct position, it will not be counted in orange, but only in green.
Now all players can use this information to make other guesses. If the next guess is correct, the player who guesses right will get points for that round. Please note that the points are equally distributed to each player who guesses right.
In the game options, you can configure whether all players can guess at the same time (default), or whether they use turn-based guessing. Same-time guessing is useful for giving everyone the same clues before they make new guesses. We recommend using round-based guessing when playing with 3 or more people to avoid running out of turns quickly.
In the game options, you can change the number of word letters to guess (between 3 and 8). You can also set the maximum number of guesses that can be made for each word (between 5 and 15). Changing these settings will also change the points you can earn per round. Choosing more letters will result in more points for each correct word. Choose fewer guesses also earns more points.
When joining the game, you can choose your team (1 or 2). If at least two players have joined each team, you will be competing in teams. If one person in a team can guess the word correctly, then the whole team will get points for that round. If more than one person guesses the word, the score is assigned to all the correct players and then to their team. For example, if you can earn 15 points in a round, and two players from team 1 and one player from team 2 guess the word correctly, first divide the total score by all the winning players (15 / 3 = 5) and then give them to their team. In this case, team 1 earns 5 x 2 = 10 points and team 2 will earn 1 x 5 = 5 points.
When you play in teams in turn-based mode, set the amount of guesses to a multiple of 2. This ensures that each team can perform the same amount of guesses.
